St. Joseph Chapel Celebrates its 53rd Feast with a Mass Wedding and Baptism
Viva Señor San Jose! A happy fiesta to all!
As we celebrate the Feast of St. Joseph, the Husband of Mary and Patron of the Universal Church, St. Joseph Chapel in Patag 6th Division successfully celebrated their 53rd Feast with a Mass Wedding of three (3) couples and Baptism of eleven (11) children.
The celebration started with a nine (9) days Novena starting last March 10 to 18 where they had Novena Prayer at 4:30pm followed by a 6:00pm Mass. On March 16, the 7th Novena Mass, a Holy Confession and Adoration was conducted after the 6:00pm Mass. The next day, March 17, a Mass wedding was bestowed upon three (3) couples. They were given a free mass wedding as the parish and chapel envisions to supporting unmarried couples to unite in Christ through the Sacrament of Matrimony through the intercession of St. Joseph. Two (2) of these couples had their children baptized on the same day.
On the feast day, they had a Diana and Procession of the Image of St. Joseph was made around the area of St. Joseph Chapel and commenced with the Fiesta Mass and Baptism presided by Fr. Froilan Renato A. Briones, SSS. A total of fourteen (9) children were baptized and welcomed to the Christian world. Afterwards, a feast was served to the ministers and guests.
